“This work grew out of lived experience, research, faith, and a deep belief that leadership and personal peace can coexist.
Seeking the Still was created for women who love God, care deeply about others, and feel called to lead — yet quietly wonder why the work feels so heavy.
If that’s you, you’re not alone.
Many women in ministry and faith-based leadership carry extraordinary responsibility with very little space to rest, reflect, or be fully human. Over time, the pressure to serve well, stay faithful, and hold everything together can erode peace from the inside out.
Seeking the Still exists to offer a different way — a return to inner stillness, trust, and grounded leadership.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

I’m a leadership scholar, university professor, ministry leader and coach.
I hold a doctorate in leadership and have spent years teaching, researching, mentoring, and listening to women’s stories across classrooms, churches, and communities around the world. I understand leadership theory deeply.
But my most important learning didn’t come from a textbook.
It came from lived experience.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Despite knowing the principles of resilience, I found myself overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, and the unrelenting demands of leadership and life. I was doing meaningful work — faithful work — yet I was physically, emotionally, and spiritually disconnected from my own peace.
That season forced me to ask hard questions:
Why does leadership so often cost women their well-being?
Why do we equate exhaustion with faithfulness?
What would it look like to lead from stillness instead of striving?
Those questions reshaped everything.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
I believe:
Calm is not weakness — it is strength.
Rest is not indulgent — it is holy.
Stillness is not passivity — it is deep attentiveness to God.
Leadership rooted in peace changes families, organizations, and faith communities.
Resilience isn’t about doing more.
It’s about staying rooted — in God’s presence, grace, and purpose.
Through Seeking the Still, I create calm, grounded spaces where women can slow down, listen deeply, and rebuild sustainable rhythms of life.
My work blends:
Leadership science
Spiritual formation
Emotional resilience
Lived experience
Everything I offer — courses, meditations, writing, and community — is designed to feel:
Practical, not performative
Wise, not overwhelming
Gentle, yet deeply transformative
There is no pressure to be fixed here — only an invitation to return to who God created you to be.
Seeking the Still is for women who:
Lead in ministry, education, or service
Feel deeply called, yet quietly tired
Long to hear God’s voice more clearly
Want to lead from peace instead of pressure
Believe calm leadership is possible — even now
I am a wife, a mother of two daughters, a sister, a traveler, and a lifelong learner. I know the complexity of women’s lives — the beauty and the weight of loving deeply, leading faithfully, and trying to stay whole in the process.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” — Psalm 34:18
My work is shaped by compassion, curiosity, and the conviction that peace is not something we earn — it’s something we return to.
In addition to my work through Seeking the Still, I speak and teach on leadership, resilience, spiritual formation, and women’s well-being in a variety of settings — including churches, retreats, universities, and conferences.
My approach integrates:
Evidence-based leadership research
Faith-informed resilience practices
Trauma-aware communication
Reflective spiritual disciplines
I am especially passionate about helping:
Female faith leaders prevent burnout
Ministry teams cultivate healthy rhythms
Students and emerging leaders build resilience early
Organizations foster calm, sustainable leadership cultures
Speaking topics often include:
Resilient Leadership for Women of Faith
Calm as a Leadership Skill
Rest, Boundaries, and Burnout Prevention
Listening as a Spiritual and Leadership Practice
Leading Through Stress and Change
I bring both academic rigor and pastoral sensitivity — offering insight that is thoughtful, accessible, and grounded in real life.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” — Colossians 3:23
For speaking engagements, guest teaching, or academic collaboration, I welcome thoughtful inquiries.
